The story of Seasalt Clothing commenced in 1981 when Don Chadwick, at the time an entrepreneur based in Penzance, opened a shop known as General Clothing Stores. This establishment catered to the local community, offering traditional workwear to farmers, fishermen, and artists, with the essence of this heritage still evident in the range today as can be seen across the collection of women's trousers which take their cues from classic workwear. This creative and coastal milieu deeply influenced Don's sons - Neil, Leigh, and David - who eventually embarked on a journey to establish the Seasalt clothing brand. Today, Seasalt boasts a dedicated team encompassing fashion and textile designers, fine artists, and illustrators who bring their creative ideas to life.
